Dr Vikneswary Batumalai

Research Fellow & Conjoint Lecturer

Dr Batumalai is an early career researcher with extensive research and clinical experience in the field of radiotherapy. Her main research interests are radiotherapy practice variation, cardiac toxicity and radiotherapy utilisation. She is involved in ongoing adaption and development of radiotherapy treatment planning and delivery to ensure best practice. Dr Batumalai has led various research and clinical projects contributing to multiple pieces of work as evident by the number of publications and presentations. Where appropriate, some projects such as automated planning technique in breast cancer have been successfully translated into clinical practice leading to change management in treating patients at SWSLHD.
